1. COVID-19:
Stats:
Florida continued to break case and hospitalization records this week, with the CDC reporting 184,909 Florida residents testing positive for the first time in the previous seven days (143,671 newly positive by NAAT/PCR test and 41,238 newly positive by Antigen test).
Florida ranked the worst for new COVID-19 hospitalizations in the country, and second-to-worst for new cases and positivity in the country in last Tuesday's weekly update from the CDC. Florida also no longer provides COVID-19 death data the way every other state in the country does, which is in itself extremely problematic and makes it impossible to compare across states.

Schools reopening:
The in-person return to schools the last few weeks in Florida has been an absolute failure and disaster - yet another DeSantis-caused COVID-19 disaster that was both expected and entirely preventable. Because neither the state nor the federal government feels responsible for reporting information about what's going on inside our schools with COVID-19, I have again added school data with links to each county's reporting site to our main dashboard here.
2. Resources for veterans:
You can find veterans services online by clicking your county from the list below:
Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton and Holmes
National resources for veterans can be found online at https://www.maketheconnection.net/.
The Veterans Crisis Line, online chat, and text-messaging service are free to all Veterans, even if you are not enrolled in VA health care. Confidential support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year through the Veterans Crisis Line (1-800-273-8255 and Press 1). Click here for ways to access support through online chat or text here.
3. We are now on ActBlue!
You can contribute to our campaign here on our website, and now you can contribute through ActBlue! Click here to go to our ActBlue Donation form! We're working on getting a merch store up this week for t-shirts, buttons, and more!
4. House Party
I could not have asked for a warmer welcome home than the reception we had Thursday night. I'm thankful for old friends, new friends, and getting this campaign off the ground by the people here who believe we deserve better.
